Love is like the wind. You can't see it...but you sure can feel it.

James and Marie's wedding was just a bit breezy. In fact, the most wind I've seen in this area apart from a hurricane.

Maybe the wind was simply trying to match the force of love at this wedding.

More to come later!

The early autumn, Virginia mountain backdrop did not disappoint for Kalie and Evan's wedding this past Saturday. With a balance of sunshine and shade, turning leaves and the fall breeze - one couldn't have prayed for a better day.

Perfectly matched in beauty by the ceremony, this wedding day was nothing short of stunning.

I can't wait to finish working on their images so I can tell you the full story of this lovely day!
Until then, here are a few shots to keep you hanging on.

Without seeing each other, Kalie & Evan shared a beautiful moment in prayer together before the ceremony. Being allowed in on such personal, special moments like this is what makes me love my job more than I knew I could.

You may remember Larin & Patrick from their lovely, romantic Washington D.C. engagement session last fall.

If you need a refresher, let me sum them up for you in a few words:
Fun loving, wonderfully kind, & extremely in love.
That combination of spirits made for an absolutely stunning wedding day.

Their wedding and reception took place at the Chesapeake Beach Resort & Spa in Chesapeake Beach, Maryland. Sun shining, waves gently cresting, gentle breezes blowing - a perfect day!

I've been so excited to share these images with you! They make my heart warm every time I see them and I give you a money back guarantee they'll do the same for you.

A special thank you to Tabatha of Images by Tabatha for being an amazing second shooter with me this day! Not only did she capture some beautiful moments, she's a great friend and photog comrade!

You show, I capture.

Erica and Scott have been married just over a year now. Being University of Virginia grads (wa-hoo-wa!) it only seemed natural that they wanted to have some portraits done on grounds before they head out to California for Erica to being graduate school. The Lawn at UVA is gorgeous enough and I soon found out that it gets even better - the lawn is flanked with beautiful tended gardens! Every corner played host to yet another lovely spot and the spring sunset beamed with perfection.

Erica has become a very close friend of mine since moving to Culpeper and while I am ecstatic for her and Scott to begin their new journey in California (and I am also excited to visit); I will miss them so much!

Ya'll, I wish you nothing short of the absolute best as you make your way westward in a few weeks. I am so glad I had the chance to capture your love in action.

{to the journey}
