I squealed. I laughed. I giggled. I oohed, ahhed and full on girly gushed. Whitney and Kevin's engagement session was nothing but 100% wonderful. I already have so many favorites and couldn't wait to share some of them with you!

We had a great time at Fell's Point and I can't wait for you to see the rest.

The Castro family amazes me! Not only are they one of the best looking groups of people there is (as you will soon see) Roque and Beth are active members of the Culpeper community. Roque is the owner of Yesterday Reclaimed, an incredible furniture company that builds works of art from reclaimed farming equipment. I've had the pleasure of documenting some of their work and let me tell you, it's incredible stuff! He is also the artist behind the Culpeper "REEL LOVE" project which is just plain cool.  Beth is the founder of Culpeper Family, your one stop place to find everything a family needs to know about our town; from sports registration to school news to local family-friendly events.

We had a great time together documenting their family. Family shoots are fulfilling to me because I get to accomplish so many different goals; capturing the personalities of each child, seeing their dynamic as a group and sneaking mom and dad away for a few romantic shots.

The Castro kids no doubt have amazing parents and their sweet, kind, and fun loving personalities mean they're growing up to be just like them!

Without further adieu, meet the Castros!

There's something about fall that reminds me of college. Walking through crispy, fallen leaves on a sidewalk will always remind me of the energetic, bustling feeling of campus on an October day. You have to admit, there's just something nostalgic about the autumn season.  Where do your fall memories "take you back" to?

Photographing Lauren and Nick on The Grounds at the University of Virginia will be one more fun fall memory to conjure up. They are college sweethearts and it didn't take much time walking through the gardens to hear their favorite stories about the time they spent as collegians at UVA.

As a photographer, the idea of memories and nostalgia are what keep me in business. Knowing that I can capture a special time in a special place and add an image to a heart-kept memory is the reason I love my job so much.

Lauren and Nick - thank you so much for letting me add illustration to your college sweetheart love story! It was a true pleasure and I wish you nothing but the best as you make many, many memories together in the future!

These last two images are film scans. It's been about 15 years since I've shot film and I am so excited to return to what drew me to photography so long ago! Total nostalgia! Be on the look out for more film shots as I incorporate shooting film into upcoming sessions.

I am so excited to share these images! Kaylie & Evan's countryside wedding was nothing short of lovely. The ceremony and reception took place on a family friend's personal property that was laden with perfectly rustic and charming accents. From the stone front home to the country chic cottage to the old barn and classic silo - a bride (or photographer) couldn't ask for a better setting!

Equally matched in loveliness was Evan and Kalie's ceremony.  Words won't do justice to how pure and genuine their love for each other and the Lord is - but I will say that the skies opened (literally) with sunshine as they said their vows! It was amazing.

I am so happy and thankful I had the opportunity to photograph and document such an incredible day!
