There's nothing like holding a moment.  To be honest, it's become a rare experience.
How many images are created every day only spend their entire existence, permanently trapped in the digital realm?

This is why I love albums. They are tangible memories. You can hold moments with your hands, look over them privately or sit close, flip the pages and share them with someone else.

I particularly love the albums I offer because of their style. They are light, unassuming, and artful. They wont spend their existence trapped in a closet, bookcase or anywhere - in fact, they'll likely sit out on coffee tables, open shelves or bedside tables, becoming more than just an "album" but also part of your home.

Press printed on the finest printing paper available today, the pages in these albums are acid-free and archival quality. Your memories might fade away in your mind, but they'll never fade away on these pages. The albums are sewn-bound, not glued, and are made to last. To top it off? They're also eco-friendly and made with windpower.

Albums come standard with your wedding collection and are available for engagement sessions as well. I artfully design each album with the images of your choice, making sure your story is told seamlessly.

Feeling inspired? Feeling pinspired?

I'm happy to let you know that JB Ward Photography is now on Pinterest! While I've had a personal Pinterest for quite some time now, I wanted a way to share with brides and clients specifically what they'd need; minus the clutter of workouts, brownie recipes, some e-cards and house ideas that get posted to my personal account.

On the JB Ward Photography Pinterest board you'll find inspiration for weddings, receptions, groom attire, bridal gowns, bridesmaid dresses and more! One of the most fun aspects of getting married is planning your nuptials; working in your ideas to showcase your personalities and love. I love weddings (it's my joy to capture them all year long) and even though I've been married a little while now, I still find myself pining away wedding inspirations.

On another Pinterest related note - a new feature is live on the blog! Hovering over an image you will now find a direct link to pin it to your own personal Pinterest account! You'll find it in the top, left hand corner. See a JB Ward Photography photo you're inspired by? Pin it (with ease)! Browse through your favorite posts to see it in action!

I love the little things and I am a firm believer that even the little things should be aesthetically pleasing. This is why I was so excited when my box of new business cards delivered last week!

Sometimes its about taking joy, and finding beauty in the little things.

They may just be business cards, but they're also extensions of my work. Their design and aesthetic reflect the essence of jb ward photography. They may be small, but they are a big impression in the hands of someone who has yet to experience my photography.

Just like my details, I love wedding details too. I love gorgeous invitation suites, hand selected floral choices, and Grandma's antique earrings. I love boutineers and bow ties. I love seeing the personalities of the bride and groom sweetly sewn into each aspect of a wedding day.

I love fine art. Even in the little things.

Tabatha is a dear friend of mine here in Culpeper. Not only do we share a love for fashion, makeup, movies and general silliness, we also share a passion for photography. Tabatha is a trusted friend and photographer who specializes in fashion inspired senior portraits. We've had the opportunity to work  together several times now on various shoots and weddings, and get along just swimmingly.

One of our favorite pastimes when we're together is to go shoot. We usually meet up, talk about our ideas as well as what challenges we're facing and then head out with our cameras in tow. As a photographer I am always growing, learning, and going back to the drawing board so that I can make the finest images possible. The great thing about my and Tabatha's friendship is that we push each other. We take our photos and come home to dissect them. Spending time examining what we love, what we didn't, how we can improve and how to push ourselves creatively.  We share our goals, our struggles and our knowledge with each other without fear or hesitation.

I would say that kind of honest friendship is invaluable; not only as a creative but as a person in general.

Without further adieu, meet my beautiful friend Tabatha.

Ever wondered what some of my favorite images are?  I'm always adding more to my list, but here are some of my favorites in a slideshow.

I learn something new every day about the internet and technology (literally everyday, as I custom built this site myself and thus am my own IT department!) Today, I learned how to share with you a slideshow from my portfolio page, right here on the blog!

Enjoy friends!
