"...love aint a thing, love is a verb; you gotta show, show, show me." John Mayer

You show, I capture.
...

Erica and Scott have been married just over a year now. Being University of Virginia grads (wa-hoo-wa!) it only seemed natural that they wanted to have some portraits done on grounds before they head out to California for Erica to being graduate school. The Lawn at UVA is gorgeous enough and I soon found out that it gets even better - the lawn is flanked with beautiful tended gardens! Every corner played host to yet another lovely spot and the spring sunset beamed with perfection.

Erica has become a very close friend of mine since moving to Culpeper and while I am ecstatic for her and Scott to begin their new journey in California (and I am also excited to visit); I will miss them so much!

Ya'll, I wish you nothing short of the absolute best as you make your way westward in a few weeks. I am so glad I had the chance to capture your love in action.

Just a little sneak peek of my shoot with Barbara today.  We found a beautiful little spot on UVA "grounds" (NOT campus, I stand corrected!)

Barbara described herself perfectly - "genuine".   She hit the nail right on the head.  Her smile says it all.

{to being you, to being true, to being genuine}

After a tumultuous week, I am beyond excited to share a few photos from Jenny and Kyle's wedding last weekend.  I can say I thoroughly had a wonderful time photographing their day and I am so excited to get to work on editing all of their photos.  The day itself couldn't have been a better backdrop for their wedding - perfectly blue skies, sixty-five degree weather, abundant sunshine, and friends & family overflowing with love for Jenny and Kyle.

I can already tell there are going to be so many beautiful photos to share from this day, but I just couldn't keep you waiting any longer!

{Merry Christmas to all and to all, a good night!}

If you can't see the love in his eyes for her....GET YOURSELF CHECKED OUT!

Rizza and I go way back - we are sorority sisters, in the same "jersey family", and even former roommates! So when Rizza approached me about photographing her and her fiancĂ©'s engagement session I was thrilled - of course because of the photography, but also just to catch up!

We planned their shoot at Daniel's family farm property in McCrae, Georgia.  Over the few weeks leading up the shoot, Rizza and Daniel raved about the location and their ideas for the session.  I cannot repeat enough how I was blown away by both! The property was beautiful; it was the perfect fall afternoon to shoot. Serene, colorful, and around every corner was yet another perfect, hidden treasure of a background.  Their ideas (planning a picnic topped off with vintage books, stopping by the pastures, etc) did not disappoint!

On our way down to McCrae I was lucky enough to hear Rizza and Daniel's oh-so-sweet engagement story.  I enjoyed getting to know Daniel better - he has heart melting southern charm, a chivalrous spirit and most importantly a huge heart for Rizza.  I could go on and on, but I'll let the photos speak for themselves!

{without further adieu}

Nicole and Tyler are two of our good friends here in Culpeper.  After their family only ceremony, we were happy to celebrate their wedding (most deliciously) at Maggiano's Litle Italy in Tysons Corner, VA.

Tyler and Nicole - we had a great time and I am so grateful that I was able to capture these images. You are a beautiful family and I wish only the best!

{enjoy, friends}

{one of my favorites!}

 {The top photo in this group makes me smile every time. If you can't feel the happiness radiating out of this family, you might need to get yourself checked out.}

{Absolutely a timeless beauty, without a doubt!}

 {I strongly feel that our greatest gift as mankind is our ability to love one another.  I present to you the evidence...each of these photos are so full of love!}

{Let's end with a laugh!}
